Finding Rest in His Strength

Isaiah 40:31

It is so easy to fall into the trap of believing that our value is tied to how much we can carry. Between the demands of our families, the pressures of our careers, and the hidden burdens we navigate in the quiet moments of the night, exhaustion often becomes our constant companion. We wear our fatigue like a heavy coat, forgetting that we were never designed to hold the world together on our own shoulders.

'But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.' (Isaiah 40:31). This promise is not an invitation to passive inactivity, but a call to shift our focus from our own limited capacity to the limitless power of our Creator. Waiting upon Him means leaning our full weight against His character rather than trying to balance our lives through sheer willpower.

Today, I want to encourage you to relinquish the need to be the source of your own stamina. When you feel that familiar pull toward burnout, stop where you are and acknowledge that He is the sustainer of your soul. You do not have to finish every task in your own strength or solve every problem before the sun sets. Allow yourself the grace to be weak, for it is in those moments of surrender that His strength is most visible in your life.
