Finding Peace in His Word
Joshua 21:45
There are days when your to-do list feels like a mountain you cannot climb and your worries feel like a fog you cannot clear. In those quiet moments of frustration, it is easy to wonder if God truly sees the details of your life or if His promises are simply distant ideals. Yet, scripture offers us a profound anchor for our weary souls: 'There failed not any of any good thing which Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.' (Joshua 21:45).
Resting in God’s promises is not about ignoring the reality of your current struggles; it is about choosing to believe that His word is weightier than your circumstances. When you pause to be still, you are declaring that your trust is placed in a God who does not change His mind or abandon His intentions. His track record is perfect, spanning from the ancient stories of His people all the way to the very breath in your lungs today.
Today, I encourage you to lay down the heavy burden of trying to orchestrate your own future. You do not need to fight to make His word come true. As you move through your home, your workplace, or your commute, let the knowledge that He is faithful settle into your spirit. He is working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet see, and every good thing He has spoken over your life is moving surely and steadily toward completion.
