Finding Deep Joy In Him

John 15:11

Often, we mistake joy for a fleeting sense of happiness that depends entirely on our productivity or the comfort of our surroundings. We rush through our mornings, chasing that elusive feeling as if it were a prize to be won. Yet, Jesus invites us into a different kind of reality. He tells us in John 15:11, 'I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.' This joy is not a fragile emotion; it is a permanent anchor provided by the One who holds our lives together.

To abide in Christ is to stop running and start resting in the truth of who He is. When your laundry pile is high, when the emails are overwhelming, and when your heart feels heavy with the weight of unseen burdens, stillness is not a luxury—it is a lifeline. Taking even five minutes to breathe in His presence changes the landscape of your day. It reminds your soul that your value is already secure and your life is already held in capable, loving hands.

Today, I encourage you to stop measuring your day by what you have finished and start measuring it by how closely you are walking with Him. Let the truth of His love settle over you like a warm mantle. When you stay connected to the vine, His life flows into yours, producing a fruit of joy that withstands any season. You are deeply loved, and in that knowledge, you are fully equipped to walk through this day with a steady, quiet strength.
