Resting Within Boundless Grace

Ephesians 3:18-19

It is so easy for us to measure God’s affection by the standard of our own productivity or the consistency of our moods. When the laundry piles up, the emails remain unread, and our patience wears thin, we often conclude that we have drifted outside the borders of His favor. Yet, the apostle Paul prays that we might have the power to comprehend the breadth, length, height, and depth of Christ’s love. It is a love that does not fluctuate based on the quality of our day or the weight of our failures.

Think of the most vast, untamed landscape you have ever seen—a place where the horizon stretches so far it leaves you breathless. That is only a faint shadow of the dimension of God’s love for you. It is deeper than your deepest disappointment and higher than your highest anxiety. He is not watching you from a distance to see if you will stumble; He is dwelling within you, anchoring your identity in the truth that you are fully and completely His. You do not have to climb toward Him to earn His attention, because He has already come down to meet you in the middle of your mess.

As you navigate the remainder of this day, I invite you to exhale the heavy burden of trying to measure up. Let the words of Ephesians 3:19 settle into your spirit: 'to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.' When the noise of the world threatens to drown out your peace, return to this truth. You are not a project to be finished; you are a beloved daughter resting in an ocean of grace that has no shore. May you find yourself completely filled by that reality today.
