Anchored in His Unfailing Strength

Joshua 1:9

Have you ever felt like your heart was trying to beat out of your chest because the road ahead looked far too steep for your weary legs to climb? It is easy to confuse courage with a lack of fear, but I have found that true courage is actually a quiet, trembling step taken in partnership with the Almighty. When the world demands you be fearless, God simply asks that you be faithful, knowing He is right there beside you.

Joshua 1:9 reminds us, 'Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.' This isn't just an ancient instruction for a leader of Israel; it is a whispered promise for your Tuesday morning, your afternoon boardroom meeting, or your quiet moments at home with your children. His presence is the anchor that holds you steady when your own feelings of inadequacy threaten to pull you under.

Today, I invite you to stop trying to summon strength from your own reservoir. It is perfectly okay to admit that you are tired and that the circumstances feel overwhelming. Bring that honesty to Him. When you acknowledge your need, you make room for His power to settle into your spirit. You do not need to be a warrior in your own right; you only need to be a daughter who trusts that her Father is already walking the path ahead of her.
