A Legacy of Steady Grace
Psalm 100:5
For the Lord is good. His loving kindness endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. As I sit with my coffee this morning, reflecting on the women who came before me—our mothers, grandmothers, and the cloud of witnesses who carved paths through their own wildernesses—I am struck by the continuity of God’s grace. We often worry about the legacy we are leaving or the weight of the tasks currently on our plates, yet we forget that we are simply links in a golden chain that God Himself has been forging since the beginning of time.
It is easy to feel as though our individual burdens are isolated incidents, but God’s faithfulness acts as the tether that keeps us connected to His purposes throughout history. When you look at your children, your neighbors, or even the younger women you mentor, you are witnessing the living evidence of a promise that never expires. His goodness is not limited to the chapters of history we read about in Scripture; it is actively moving through your home, your workplace, and your quietest moments of prayer today.
Take a deep breath and let the pressure of 'doing it all' fall away. You do not have to carry the weight of the future on your shoulders because the same God who sustained the generations before you is the one holding your hand right now. Today, choose to lean into that history of grace. Trust that because He has been faithful to those who walked before, He is more than capable of being faithful to you and to all who will follow in your steps.
