Identity Before Achievement

Chosen Before

Paul writes that God chose us before the foundation of the world. Before any achievement. Before any failure. Before we had done a single thing to earn or lose standing.

This is the ground of Christian identity — not what we do or produce or manage, but what has been declared about us before time began. Chosen. Loved. Belonging.

Living from, Not Toward

The difference between striving and resting often comes down to this: are we living toward acceptance, or from it? When we believe we must earn love, every day is an audition. When we believe we already have it, we can simply live.

Today, when the familiar pressure to prove yourself rises, notice it. Then remind yourself of the order: you are loved, and then you act — not the other way around.
