Forgiveness Is a Process
Colossians 3:13
Forgiveness Is a Process
I have been working through forgiveness this week — not for the first time, and probably not for the last. I thought I had finished this particular work, but grief is not linear, and neither is forgiveness.
Colossians 3:13 says to forgive as the Lord has forgiven you. He forgave completely, freely, without condition. But I am not the Lord, and my forgiveness is more like a practice than a moment — something I return to, choose again, release again.
Forgiveness doesn't mean the hurt didn't matter. It doesn't mean the relationship is immediately restored. It means I am choosing not to let the wound become the whole story. Today I am choosing again.
