When Doubt Visits

John 20:27-28

When Doubt Visits

I've been thinking about Thomas this week. He is known as the doubter — but I prefer to call him the honest one. He said what the others may have secretly felt: Unless I see, I will not believe. And Jesus did not rebuke him for it. He invited Thomas to touch the wounds.

Doubt is not the opposite of faith — it is often faith's companion. The questions, the wrestling, the I'm not sure I believe this today — these are not disqualifying. They are part of the journey.

Jesus meets us in the doubt. He offers evidence, presence, and the patience of a God who is not threatened by our honest questions.
