Tending the Garden

Ecclesiastes 3:2

Tending the Garden

I planted seeds today. Literally — in small pots on the windowsill, with soil under my fingernails and hope in the act. There is something deeply grounding about gardening. It is slow, physical, and entirely dependent on forces beyond my control: sun, water, the mysterious biology of growth.

Ecclesiastes says there is a time to plant. This is mine. And planting requires a particular kind of faith — you put something in the ground and trust that what you cannot yet see is happening beneath the surface.

I am planting seeds in other areas of my life too. Relationships. Projects. Prayers. I may not see the growth yet. But I am trusting the soil.
