Holy Saturday Silence
Romans 5:8
Holy Saturday Silence
Holy Saturday is the strangest day of the Christian calendar. Everything has happened, and nothing has happened yet. The disciples are scattered, grieving, confused. The tomb is sealed. The story seems finished.
But God was at work in the silence. What looked like the end was the pivot point of all of history. Sometimes the most significant things God does are invisible to us — happening in the hidden places, in the sealed tombs, in the long silent Saturdays of our lives.
I am living a Holy Saturday in one area of my life right now. I can't see movement. But I am choosing to believe that God is working in the silence — and that Sunday is always coming.
