Armor for the Real Battle

Ephesians 6:12-13

Armor for the Real Battle

Ephesians 6 describes a battle that is not against flesh and blood — not against people, institutions, or circumstances, but against principalities and powers. The real war is spiritual, and the armor is spiritual: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the word of God.

I sometimes forget this. I spend energy fighting the wrong battles — against people, against my own circumstances — when the real conflict is at a different level. When I remember to put on the armor, something shifts. I pray differently. I respond differently.

Today I am suiting up. Not in anger but in truth. Not in striving but in faith.
