The Narrow Way
Matthew 7:13-14
The Narrow Way
Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. (Matthew 7:13)
The narrow way is not popular — by definition, it can't be. It requires things the wide way doesn't: honesty when dishonesty is easier, fidelity when freedom would feel better, love when indifference is more comfortable.
But the narrow way leads somewhere. And I have found that the harder road, the more honest road, the road that costs something — it produces a depth that the easy road simply cannot. I am grateful for every time obedience has led me down a difficult, faithful path.
