Rivers in the Desert

Isaiah 43:19

Rivers in the Desert

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19)

Desert seasons are real. Not metaphorical — sometimes life is genuinely dry. The creativity runs out. The relationships feel thin. The prayers feel like they bounce off the ceiling. And in those seasons, it is easy to conclude that God has gone quiet.

But Isaiah's word is that God is doing something new in the very place that looks most barren. The river doesn't come after the desert. It comes in the desert. I want eyes to perceive what He is doing, even when the landscape looks dry.
