The Weight of Waiting

Isaiah 40:31

The Weight of Waiting

Waiting is one of the hardest spiritual disciplines. There is nothing glamorous about it, nothing that can be put on a highlight reel. It is simply the long, faithful act of trusting that God is working even when nothing seems to be moving.

Isaiah 40:31 promises that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. But the waiting itself — that is where the formation happens. In the in-between spaces, God does His quietest, deepest work.

I am waiting on something right now. I won't name it here, but God knows. And this morning I am choosing to believe that His timing is not delay — it is precision. He is never late.
