Still Waters

Psalm 23:2-3

Still Waters

This morning I sat in the stillness before the house woke up. The world outside was quiet, and I felt the invitation to simply be — not to do, not to perform, but to rest in the presence of God.

Psalm 23 kept running through my mind: He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. I have been running at such a pace lately. Projects, responsibilities, conversations that drain — and underneath it all, a thirst I keep trying to satisfy with noise.

But still waters. That is what He offers. Not the roaring rapids of productivity, not the applause of a crowd, but a quiet place where the soul can catch its breath and remember who it belongs to.

Today I am choosing to return to the still waters, even if just for these few minutes of morning quiet.
