Quiet is not the same as empty
1 Thessalonians 4:11
We have been taught to mistrust quiet. To treat it as absence, as dullness, as wasted time.
But scripture commends the quiet life. Paul writes to the Thessalonians: aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own affairs, to work with your hands. It is not a lesser calling. It is the frame within which much of the Christian life is actually lived.
If your days feel small, examine them again. They may be holier than they look.
